Hi Everyone,
Here I am again with further news of ‘Waveney’s fit out progress.
As you can see from the new pics in the gallery she is now nearly boarded out inside with, firstly, water resistant MDF and then an American ash for the finishing wall surface. So there are three layers of covering on the walls including the spray foam. All of you who think boats are cold and uninsulated, think again!
Mark has started the preparations for painting the outside too, with the sand on the roof which forms the anti slip surface. This will go on the back deck, well deck and along the gunnells too.
Apparently it will take 2 weeks to complete the paint job and we are looking forward to seeing ‘Waveney’ in all her glory next time we go. Then we have to consult the sign writer about the name and pictures we want.
We are still on target for an end of June finish so we can move in July. Peter has had a lot of interest in his house so things are going really well at the moment.
I have brought my leaving work date forward by a week to 21st June hurrah! I have now got just under 9 weeks to go!
Cheers B.
