This week we have had our bungalow valued ready to sell to Peter. The valuation was quite favourable considering the current climate (Ken’s pleased anyway!). Peter has put his house on the market, so it’s all systems go. When we move out in June Peter is going to move in regardless of whether he’s sold his house or not. That is quite handy for us actually as we won’t have to ‘winterise’ ours and leave it empty.
We have started selling our stuff. It’s quite difficult really, selling all your prized possessions! I think we may have to steel ourselves and do a car boot sale (Oh no!) soon to get things moving. I have packed up all the pictures and ornaments which are not coming to the boat with us as we won’t have room. It’s sad really to see some of them go but we really are downsizing!
We tried to get the sofa through the front door last week but as we have had a new door since we bought it we found it impossible to get out so Ken sawed it up in the front room! We took it to the tip.
We are leaving some of our stuff for Peter such as the tumble dryer, wardrobes, curtains etc but there’s still a mountain of stuff to get rid of. Chest freezer anyone……….?
12 weeks to go!
